"Animation is Acting!"
With that enthusaistic quote, Bret Parker launched our live Q&A webcam session.
Bret Parker, my mentor:
Bret got into Pixar, and animation, from an acting background. She started on A Bug's Life and has been there ever since (10 years!). As it turns out she did the voice for Kari in the Incredibles, AND did the animation for her! How cool is that? I signed up for Animation Mentor improve my animation confidence and my acting skills, and it seems like I got an awesome mentor to help with that. She's also very upbeat and positive, which should create an inspiring climate.
It was great meeting everyone tonight! The enthusiasm level in this class is outstanding, and I can't wait to get underway. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's work!

kari was my favorite charter in the incredibles!! she just had so much character and i thought she was hilarious. when i found out it was one of the animators i was like "yea artist rule" (im in school for animation!)
